Sticking: An Update of Experimental and Modeling Results

The problem of accumulation of powder on compaction tools (sticking) has been a difficult problem to understand, analyze and mitigate.  In this presentation I will provide updates from our modeling efforts and the additional insight that they offer as well as experimental results pertaining to (a) the development of a novel non-contact sensor for the detection and quantification of sticking initiation and (b) experimental studies using this new sensor.
